Points & Standings

Grading information
BriSCA V8 Hotstox run a grading system which sets the grids and grades for each meeting. The grades are set by points and averages over the course of a grading period, which there are four grading periods during the season. As like traditional Stock Car racing, the colour of the wing or areofoil sets where the driver starts on the grid...

-
White Graders at the front.
-
Yellow Graders next.
-
Blue Graders after this.
-
Red Graders next.
-
Red with Flashing Lights (Super Stars) complete the grid.

Unlike traditional motor racing, stock car racing see's the highest scoring drivers and Super Stars battle from the back to get into the points scoring positions, this is applied to all normal race meetings and finals, with specific Championship Rules in place for the 'Major Titles' which is explained in the event previews.

Between the grades, there is a gap which must be maintained on the rolling lap, using around 8 car lengths depending on the venue. Some races run in a Closed Grid format where the grid is closed up.

Grading Period 1 // 2025

Grading Period 1 is complete with a number of changes already taking place.

World Champion & National Points Champion remain as they are with the Gold and Sliver Roofs for the season.

--

Drivers that have not made an appearance this season will not show on the grading charts as no points have been accumulated, only drivers which have raced are shown. Drivers not showing remain within their grade when they last raced.
For the full drivers list, please check out the Points Micro Site... Profiles will be with us soon!
Grading Period 2 // 2025

The Grades are out after the 2nd Grading Period of 2025. An impressive start to the season see's some of the new drivers climb the ladder while some drivers which started late this year start putting points on the board.

A welcome return to Red Grade for Guy Jolly and Sophie Maynard brings some top form drivers to the Red Graders, as well as the Bullock Brothers making the Superstar Red for this period.

Some championships on the line in G3, lets see how can make they grades count as the season continues!

Roll on honour
BriSCA V8 Hotstox has been leading the way with budget Stock Car Racing since 1984. From it's first ever meeting, the formula has grown from strength to strength . The formula has seen drivers go on to other formulas, returning champions and some drivers have never left, it's a proper stock car family and we honour those that have graced the formula winning some of the biggest titles in sport.
With thanks to former V8 Hotstox Chairman Neil Fry, we have a first of the major championships, and some interesting names which have gone on to be a massive part of the Oval Racing Community.

World Final Information...
The V8 Hotstox had various formats for their World Finals and some of them was tied with the Spedeworth V8 Stock Car Formula, hence some championship years show two champions.
