The green flag drops on the 2026 Brisca V8 Hotstox season on 21st March at Northampton as the Rover V8 powered stock cars make their on track debut for the year in our TJA Commercials Limited sponsored meeting! TJA Commercials Limited specialise in buying and selling Lorry’s, vans, 4x4s,machines,engines etc.. and then sell them all over the uk and also export them World wide be sure to give them a ring for any jobs you may have!

2026 World Champion Thomas Brighton (#329) will take to the track on March 21st and proved throughout the 2025 season that he is the man to beat in the Hotstox. Thomas is an exciting driver to watch with a no nonsense attitude, he will have his work cut out starting from the back. Challenging Thomas from towards the back of the grid will be plenty of established drivers such as Stephen Young (#176), Michael Boswell (#328) and veteran Bryan Andrew (#355) who will all be aiming to make a strong start to the new season. Ben Allen (#477) makes his return to the Hotstox this season and alongside the like of Frankie Burgess (#159) and Sam Knight (#202) will be one the formula’s younger drivers looking to make an impact early in the season.

The Hotstox last competed at Northampton on the 6th September 2025 in what was the concluding round of the 2025 Northern and Midland Championship. A modest entry of cars attended the Northampton Shaleway with many drivers choosing to save their cars for the upcoming 2025 World Final, which was won at a wet Bradford by Thomas Brighton (#329). Heat 1 and the first race of the afternoon saw a very wet track as the track staff anticipated a busy afternoon of racing ahead. With little grip, even the most skilled of the drivers ended up in the wall as the majority of the race saw the cars circulating slowly. Thomas Brighton was the eventual winner as he strengthened his chances to win the Northern and Midland Championship.

Heat 2 saw a strong performance from Charlie Portman (#528) as he claimed a popular win. As the final began, just 5 points separated Thomas Brighton and Guy Jolly (#222) in the race for the 2025 Northern and Midland championship. A faulty rotar arm ended Jolly’s meeting and Brighton claimed the title. Jolly (#222) will be in attendance on March 21st and will be hoping for more luck as he begins his season having declared his participation in the new season long “One Car” series. Dan Poole (#296) drove a sensational race in his tarmac car to claim victory in the meeting final. The meeting on 21st March will be round 1 of the 2026 Northern and Midland championship.

The Hotstox will make two further appearances at Northampton Shaleway in 2026. On the 8th August we return to the track for a 2026 World Championship Qualifying round. On the 27th September we take part in the huge Brisca F1 Stock Car World Final weekend as we compete for our European Championship in what will be an incredible month of stock car racing at this venue!
